Greeting from Professor Ho-Kyung Chun,
It is my great pleasure to offer my warmest greetings to all of you, with whom I have been honored to share the same passion for coloanal disease treatment despite the time and the distance that separate us.
The Korean Society of Coloproctology (KSCP), which has been responsible for the colorectal health of Koreans, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017. As part of the celebration, the 16th Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology (APFCP) and the 5th Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association (ECTA) conferences in conjunction with 10th Asian Society of Stoma Rehabilitation (ASSR 2017) and Asia South Pacific Ostomy Association (ASPOA 2017) will be held together at the Sheraton Grand Walker Hill hotel in Korea from March 30th to April 3rd. This event will provide an opportunity and time for the members of the society across Europe, as well as the Asia-Pacific region, to unite and celebrate the past 50 years of the KSCP. Furthermore, by visiting Korea this time of the year, you will be able to not only enjoy the beauty of nature in bloom but also get a taste of the enchanting 'Korean wave' and the five thousand years of history and cultural richness that Korea has to offer.
We are confident that this international event will provide a chance to achieve great academic progress and will contribute significantly to improving the health of mankind. Most importantly, extensive academic exchanges and collaborations will take place during this time, friendships will be built, and professional networks will be established. Thus, your support and interest would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your interest and cooperation, and I, as well as the members of the Society, look forward very much to meeting you in Seoul.
With best regards,
Greeting from Professor Kyu Joo Park,
Dear Fellow Members of the Society,
The year 2017 marks 50 years since the establishment of the Korean Society of Coloproctology (KSCP). During that time, we have grown and advanced to achieve great scholarly success. Now, I am delighted to announce that a session at which we will be able to look both ahead and behind at our continuing journey has been planned and will be held at the Sheraton Grand Walker Hill hotel in Korea from March 30th to April 3rd, co-hosted with 10th Asian Society of Stoma Rehabilitation (ASSR 2017) and Asia South Pacific Ostomy Association (ASPOA 2017).
At this joint meeting, the 16th Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology (APFCP) meeting and the 5th Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association (ECTA) meeting, our respected colleagues from Europe, as well as the Asia-Pacific region, will join us to actively exchange various academic ideas under the theme of "Unified Asia, collaboration with Europe, and preparation for the next 50 years."
The ambition of this gathering is to achieve scientific unification within Asia and further to seek close collaboration with Europe to brighten the future of coloproctology. At this meeting, the latest news and findings in the field will be presented, distinguished scholars will share their insights, and the research results achieved at several world renowned institutions will be shared. Meetings of the ASSR and the ASPOA, which have served as places of learning for nurses, will be held in conjunction with the APFCP and the ECTA meetings, which should be a significant step toward the establishment of a truly international congress.
I, as well as the members of the Society, thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. We hope to see you in Seoul, and we look forward to your active participation in these well-prepared events.
With best regards,
